Your Emergence

The power of a flower to bloom

Is not in its ability

To go get some sunshine and rain,

To go find the right soil.

~ It is in the flower itself ~

And…

Its relationships

To all other factors

Contributing to

And catalyzing

Its emergence.©

Most people think of personal power from the Newtonian perspective where power is force applied through action; the ability to create change through force and effort, domination, control, overcoming obstacles, pushing, and overcoming resistance.

It works. On that level of being

When Einstein gave us e = mc2, he gave us the opportunity to understand the deeper structure of reality. That the universe is less something to be acted upon, against, or to toil with, and instead something to relate with.

That because matter and energy are the same thing in different densities, the entire universe is a field of relationships. And like all relationships, we choose what or who to interact with and how.

The flower only knows to be a flower–a rose, a peony, a hollyhock–to emerge and grow with the resources it has and receives, go to seed, die and grow again. It only knows integrity with its own power.

As a human, you have the option to choose. You can go get what you want–well-being, wealth, love, creativity—to act upon reality, whether it matches you or not. And, you also have the option to relate to yourself and the universe from its deeper structure so that you change matter, draw matter, relate to reality by your state of being and level of integrity with your power.

In truth as humans we are doing both simultaneously. The difference is in whether you see life through the lens of emergence (relationship) or effort (force) because they produce very different internal experience and states of being.

If you see it through emergence, then you will know that the power is within you, like the flower, and what is important is tuning in to what relates to you at your level and contributes to your emergence, rather than drawing energy from your emergence. From there, your efforts are coherent with your being.

If you see life through the lens of effort first, then you will go about “getting” whatever it is you need and desire—money, love, food, support, intimacy, approval, tools—by whatever means you learned to cope, adapt and get in order to feel meaningful, enough, in control, prove yourself or be approved of.

Do you see the difference?

The first sees life from a state of being and what feeds that being to enjoy this material world to its fullest.

The second sees life from a state of effort first, of what must be acquired to justify its existence, to get what it wants and therefore live.

But life is already yours.

Power is already yours.

Worthiness is yours.

One more principle in this. The flower receives what support shows up—sun, rain and fertilizer—according to the weather and the gardener.

You have choice. Volition. Movement.

Life expands in proportion to what it is supported to become. So what will you decide you are worthy to receive? To be supported in? And how will you shift your state of being to aligned?

Life doesn’t become extraordinary because you force it. It becomes extraordinary because you become capable of receiving, sustaining, and expressing a greater version of life (yourself). Reality has always been more generous than our conditioning makes visible, so we learn to dissolve conditioning to expand into new realms of living.

What will you choose that contributes to your blooming?

And what will you release that doesn’t?
